Halloween Draw Off Round 4

We’re rapidly closing in on Halloween time, which means we’ve got a draw off to finish. Here comes round 4 for this year’s draw off.

Our three subjects for this round are as follows. Samhain (with his goblin minions) from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon, my personal favorite Ghostbusters villain I should add. HP Lovecraft bring forth the mighty Cthulu. Then we finally have Godzilla for the first time in one of these draw offs. He’s always been one of my favorite fictional monsters but I’ve been to nervous to do him espeically since non human subjects aren’t my specialty. But I feel I’ve grown as an artist far enough to finally tackle him.

More Halloween art coming up.

Halloween Draw Off Round 3

Round 3 for our 2024 Halloween Draw Off gets into some unique subjects. First up a little more of an innocent piece, the three main protagonists of Digimon Tamers Trick or Treating as their Digimon’s Mega Forms. This was inspired by a wallpaper I downloaded from Pintrest that had Rika dressed as her Digimon Sakyuamon.

Next up is our Owl House piece for the month, a crossover with Freddy Kruger. This was not originally planned as a Halloween piece, it was actually meant as a standard crossover for earlier this year. But I just kept putting it off and then when I couldn’t think of a Halloween Piece for this year, decided to whip it out.

Then we have the Balrog from Lord of the Rings. I said this year it would be all monsters and scary things, I never said it all had to be from horror related media. I first drew this guy as a lunchtime sketch I think last year and he was so much fun I wanted to make a real drawing of him.

More Hallowen art all month long.

Halloween Draw Off Round 2

Time for a second round of Halloween art. This week we got some real terrors for you that come in some real weird forms, or non-forms. This week’s subjects are the Blob based off the 1980 remake, the Boogeyman from the Real Ghostbusters cartoon show and Coraline (with Other Mother) from the animated movie of the same name. More Halloween art coming all month long.

HALLOWEEN DRAW OFF ROUND 1

It’s officially October, the best time of the year. You all know what that means, its time for the Annual Green Raptor Halloween Draw Off. Since I first started operating under the name Green Raptor Studios back in 2015, it has been a tradition to go all out at Halloween time drawing monsters, demons and anything scary from pop culture, as well as few Halloween themes to our own original characters… and a few things here and there. While it started off as a small thing on Deviant Art, over the years it’s grown only larger and is always one of the biggest events I look forward to all year.

This year we got FOURTEEN drawings planned that we will be putting up all month long. Starting off our parade this year is Pinhead from the Hellraiser series and the Ghost Host from the Haunted Mansion. Pinhead has constantly been denied every Halloween Draw off till now. While he’s one of my favorite horror villains, I’ve always been intimidated at drawing all the pins in his head due to complexity. But I’m feeling a bit more confident nowadays and he’s finally showing up for the parade.

The Ghost Host is this year’s Haunted Mansion piece, they almost always find their way here. First the Hatbox Ghost made his debut in this draw off early on when it first started and then last year it was Constance Hatchaway, the bride. Now it’s time for the Ghost Host to make his debut in this draw off. Happy October and stick around, I’ll be here all month long.

Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone, another year has come for treats, scares and fun. So as many of you should know, over here at Green Raptor Studios we LOVE Halloween. Every year we sharpen our pencils (digital pad really) and draw as many monster, horror and other fun stuff as we can. And of course there is always the finale, which in recent years is Kalwa related. This year we are bringing in a number of faces that we have met recently, mainly Kalwa’s dojo friends Izuha and Suzume. Kalwa’s already appeared in this outfit before as the Witch of Time, but now you get to see her friends join her for the witching hour, and of course the boys get to play the minions. HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL, and join us next year for more Halloween fun.

YET EVEN MORE HALLOWEEN 2022

Round three of our all Halloween Draw off is up everyone. This round we are bringing you the delayed Xenomorph, aka Alien, Jason Voorhees, and to add a little lightness, Dipper and Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls. This is our final round for this year’s draw off and the last of fanart. Next week on Halloween Day we will be uploading our finale for this year, so stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, I hope everyone enjoyed all we had to give this year!

Kalwa KOHAKU

Everyone’s dressing up for Halloween, our very own Kalwa included. She dyed her hair so she could be ,my true love, Kohaku from Dr. Stone. Those who follow should know I love drawing Kohaku, and even once had both Kalwa and Kohaku meet once before. So this was such a thrill to draw, especially with the opportunity to draw Kalwa with blonde hair. I actually had just gotten the Banpresto season 2 Kohakur figure for my anime figure collection so I had a lot of reference to go off of.

HAlloween 2022

As we do every year, it’s the annual Halloween draw off. All month long I’ll be drawing monsters, dark things and just plain Halloween fun that involves both original and non-original characters. Here’s our first two drawings for the month, the Hatbox Ghost from Disney’s Haunted Mansion and Michael Keaton’s Batman from the 1989 classic. More awesome stuff on the way all month long!

Headless Horseman

I’m so upset with myself for not updating this site more frequently. I’ve been so busy updating the Kalwa site and doing other work over there and I’ve virtually forgotten to post updates to this site. There actually was a bit of stuff posted to some of my other social media outlets this past month for Halloween. So there’s a bit of catch up to do.

So I’m uploading a piece from Halloween, the Headless Horseman. I’ve wanted to draw the character for years but never got around to it. As a full disclaimer this is kinda self design Headless Horseman, I wanted him to look very demonic and un-natural, hence why the horse might look a little… out of the ordinary. Also as the Horseman is a dead ghost, he essentially wears his injuries with pride, I’ve always had a thing for villains like that. Anyway, enjoy possibly the most gruesome art I’ve done to date.
