The middle round of the this years Halloween Draw Off is here. This round is the Stranges, Phantom of the Opera (based off the musical) and Green Raptor’s very own character Skrazz, aka the Raptor Queen, facing off with some zombie dinosaurs.

The Strangers were NOT originally in the plan for this year’s Halloween Draw Off, but then I saw the DVD for chapter 3 at Wal-Mart and decided to add them at the last minute. I have not seen any of the Stranger movies beyond the original one, apparently I hear they are really bad. But I do love the original movie, maybe not the most original premise, but it’s got great craft.

Phantom I’ve been obsessed with for years and finally fulfilled a long time dream to see a live performance of the show last month. Skrazz’s drawing was kinda based off an episode of Primal, which in itself is an inspiration behind the Raptor Queen. The original episode involved a decaying dinosaur who infected others. Even though the episode was gory, I kinda feel I made this artwork even more gory looking. Sorry on that, but since the Raptor Queen is more meant for mature audiences, I don’t like to hold anything back.
