Just a fun drawing of my animation crush Kohaku from Dr. Stone. I just can’t help but keep drawing her, she’s just so cute, adorable and real deva. I seriously hope to one day meet my “real life” Kohaku, someone as pretty and awesome as she is that will make me the happiest man in the world.
She’s actually drawn here on my real life porch, so there’s a bit of self insertion right here I might add. Hope everyone likes it.
Happy Halloween everyone, another year has come for treats, scares and fun. So as many of you should know, over here at Green Raptor Studios we LOVE Halloween. Every year we sharpen our pencils (digital pad really) and draw as many monster, horror and other fun stuff as we can. And of course there is always the finale, which in recent years is Kalwa related. This year we are bringing in a number of faces that we have met recently, mainly Kalwa’s dojo friends Izuha and Suzume. Kalwa’s already appeared in this outfit before as the Witch of Time, but now you get to see her friends join her for the witching hour, and of course the boys get to play the minions. HAPPY HALLOWEEN TO ALL, and join us next year for more Halloween fun.
Everyone’s dressing up for Halloween, our very own Kalwa included. She dyed her hair so she could be ,my true love, Kohaku from Dr. Stone. Those who follow should know I love drawing Kohaku, and even once had both Kalwa and Kohaku meet once before. So this was such a thrill to draw, especially with the opportunity to draw Kalwa with blonde hair. I actually had just gotten the Banpresto season 2 Kohakur figure for my anime figure collection so I had a lot of reference to go off of.
A couple of recent fan arts for two characters that have really been on my mind as of recently. Jinx from League of Legends, who has really come to mind thanks to the Arcane Netflix series, note that this is supposed to be her in game outfit rather than what she wears in Arcane.
We also have She-Ra from the Netfilx tv series. I’ve actually been practicing with her in my sketchbook, so I had a real idea of how I wanted her to look. As Adora is a teenager in the series I wanted She-Ra to look more like a mature teen. Anyway, hope you enjoy.
Just for Christmas, the Miser Brothers from A Year Without a Santa Clause. This is kinda a small little experiment I’ve started of making stop motion puppets into real organic looking manga styled characters. I did a similar project earlier with Bitch Puddin’ from Robot Chicken. These two I’ve actually been experimenting in the sketchbook with, trying to translate their parts to manga style, so here’s the result of several experiments just in time for Christmas.
Artwork of Thomas who is a young detective from my comic Kalwa, he initially debuted in the Whitechappel arch as a detective hired by the police to catch the infamous Jack the Ripper. Throughout the story he and Kalwa both work on their own investigations of the Ripper, but they do meet up in the end.
More information on this character can be found over on our sister site, Kalwa Webcomic, starting in CHAPTER 16!
Happy New Years Everyone, and remember the most important part about this is… it’s no longer 2020! It’s time now for new beginnings, new goals and new… pretty much everything. We’re starting off this year with a new chapter and a new story arch for Kalwa. This is a really big one for this story arch will be introducing a number of new characters and new plot lines that will have lasting impacts on the overall Kalwa story arch. We’re no longer just indulging in a simple story’s, we’re now in overall saga. The first two pages of chapter 23 are now on the Kalwa Website and can quickly accessed simply by clicking the thumbnails below. If you want to start the comic from the cover, click the first thumbnail, or if you just want to jump into it, click the second thumbnail to instantly go to the first page. New pages will be added throughout the month, so be sure to check back.
I probably posted this much earlier but I’ll repost it here. So here’s the original sketch work of Swishy, Amber’s faitful assistant in organizing her heists. For those who are not aware, Swishy is a Barrel Eyed fish, which was a type of fish that I myself was completely unaware of prior to writing Amber. In truth I wanted Swishy to be a unique type of fish, so I sought out to find the weirdest and most obscure type of fish I could find. In reality Barrel Eyed fish actually have a thin veil over their face which covers their eyes. However this kinda of design would have made facial expression of Swishy very limited, so I sought to give him eyes anyway, though I still wanted them to be a little weird. However many of the early designs came out looking… kinda creepy. Thus Swishy was given a more Disney like look and actually became a little more modeled after a Dolphin than a Barrel Eye. He still does have the glowing face which Barrel Eyes do posses and I also designed so his eyes close diagonally. So that’s a little fact on Swishy.
