Small sketch from the sketchbook of Phillip, the other security guard that Amber torments in her comic. Most notably Philip looks a bit older than he does in the final product. Originally this wasn’t even a character design or the character, this was actually a test of skill to see if I could draw a distinguishable African America character without relying on toning. However not wanting to let the character go to waste I decided to make this into Phillip for the Amber one shot and decided to make him African American.
So just like Amber this week, there is some updates over on our sister site Kalwa. We got not one but TWO page updates to the latest chapter of Kalwa as Kalwa and her brother head to JAPAN to receive some much needed training, but first there’s the little case of Kalwa’s mother to resolve. Click the thumbnail below and see what we’ve got this week in the latest Kalwa chapter!
Just a repost if this lovely image of Tai and Twilight Sparkle as mer-lovers. I had done an older version of this for Met-May nearly two years ago and thought the original was gorgeous with its body language, but largely outdated on my skill set, so I wanted to re-draw it with my more enhanced skills in late 2019.
An old character I first drew way back in 2017, I decided to revisit her again in attempt to fill my portfolio with more original characters and new illustrations. This time I gave her a bit more of a defined look with some new abs, and a couple of new limbs. I didn’t illustrate in the last drawing, but her limbs actually collapse to reveal her weapons, also as an added note, she can interchange different weapons on her limbs.
Drawing of Victor, the first enemy to send Kalwa screaming with a complete and utter defeat.
