Halloween Draw Off: Vincent PRice

The Halloween draw off continues with one of the greatest horror actors (and actors in general) Vincent Price. Yes, the charming and lovable man is making he way into this year’s Halloween Draw Off, reading up the works of Poe. This is one of TWO iconic actors who will be featured in this years’s draw off, can you guess the other.

More Halloween art is coming ALL MONTH LONG, stick around for more.

Halloween Draw Off: Freddy and Haunted Mask

It’s officially October 1st, which means it’s time once again for the annual Green Raptor Halloween draw off. This tradition started back in 2015, the time when I get to embrace my inner demon and draw up all things horror, including characters, monsters and more. Course it won’t just be pop culture icons, Kalwa and Amber will also be partaking in this event.

Starting off the party today is a double feature with Freddy Krueger from Nightmare on Elm street (after sitting out last year) and the Haunted Mask from Goosebumps (a first for this event). The Haunted Mask here is a bit of an original touch on the concept, with Carly Beth’s skin turning green as well as the mask starting to sprout her hair, implying that the mask is truly fusing with her whole body and not just her head..

More Halloween art coming all month long!

Reverse Flash

I’ve had an artwork of Eobard Thawne, the Reverse Flash, on my desktop for months. Just kinda sat there unfinished, and I finally decided to do something about it. However this would up being a complete remake rather than a finish. Had a lot of trouble getting the pose so I drew it in my sketchbook at lunch and then inked it at home.

Thawne is kinda a newly discovered villain for me, but he’s quickly become my second favorite DC villain after the Scarecrow. Thawne is such a fascinating character in that he is a stalker of his nemesis Barry Allen, the Flash. Fact is that Thawne is truly motivated purely by trolling Barry’s life and basically causing Barry to seek him. In truth Thawne is a fan boy of his enemy and by doing everything that he does, he gets to spend quality time with his hero, even if it is on the opposite side of his fists. Thus Thawne is a perfect bland of obsession and madness.

Time skip Luz and Amity

More Owl House art and more Luz and Amity. When it comes to romance pictures, I’m like never satisfied. I draw my heart out but then I see other people’s work and always get jealous, so I wind up drawing more and more. Lumity is of course one of the more common subjects I see, and I just have to throw my hat in the ring once again.

Shadow in the Night

I haven’t drawing Sonic characters in a while, but I just felt like drawing my boy Shadow again. When it comes to coloring, I don’t like to make Shadow all black. I draw a lot of my Sonic art from a certain period during the Archie Comics era when the characters were drawn with certain shades and tints. Namely issue 124 (Shadow’s first true appearance in the series) showed him with heavy shades and more of a dark blue tint. That was the first Sonic comic I bought as a teenager and it’s always stuck with me.

Johnathan Crane

Riding off the coat tales of the Rodrick Kingsley art from July, here’s Johnathan Crane, better known as the Scarecrow from Batman’s rogue’s gallery. He also happens to be may favorite super villain in all of comics, provided one doesn’t count Cobra Commander. When doing unmasked pictures like this, my goal is to show the madness underneath the mask. Characters like dear old Crane here really just wear masks to hide their identity, but the real face of evil is what lies underneath…

Kalwa Haunted Mansion Crossover

This was originally uploaded to the Kalwa website last month as the new Haunted Mansion movie was coming out. I’ve been a long time fan of the mansion and it’s mythos, so I kinda went nuts that month with art (did another one with the Owl House). Also these are Kalwa and Zack’s new outfits which will be debut very shortly after the Japan arch concludes.
