Scarecrow

Well Bane looked like he was such a hit, so of course I just couldn’t live with myself not giving the same treatment to my favorite Bat-Rouge (and favorite supervillain of all the time) the Scarecrow. I’ve always loved this character ever since I first got his action figure from the animated series (I now own three). Sadly it seems DC doesn’t really do that much with the character and lots of youtubers seem to complain he’s such a wasted potential. I personally have an idea for a Scarecrow mini series that I hope to be made into a reality one day to retell his origin and add more development to Mr. Johnathan Crane.

Bane

Bane has kinda been stuck on my brain as of late, I wound up drawing a sketch of him during lunch while at the day job and wound up wanting to draw a full piece of him. Kinda added a little more “atmosphere” than initially intended with the whole venom gimmick he has. Kinda almost feel he looks like he’s from the Swam Thing TV show from a few years ago.

Santa Kohaku

Sorry my Christmas art has kinda been a little late this year, I was really caught up working on some artwork for Christmas which I can’t quite post right now. Well, here’s Kohaku from Dr. Stone playing the role of sexy Santa, and she’s got a present for you.

Shockwave

I’m continuing my study of mechs with more Transformer drawings, and now it’s on to my second favorite Transformer, Shockwave. For that matter Shockwave also ranks with my top five favorite fictional villains of all time. The portrayal of the character is practically exclusive between media. Within cartoons Shockwave is presented as a loyal follower of Megatron and the Decepticons, while the comic version of the character is a treacherous, amoral scientist driven only by a cold sense of logic. This means Shockwave will backstab anyone and do whatever it takes to accomplish his goals, even stooping as low as to commit mad cold experiments on anyone if it seems to be the “logical” course of action. To this extent, Shockwave is pretty much the most terrifying character in a franchise meant to sell toys.

Grimlock (G1)

Yes first time drawing a Transformer, and my favorite one for that. The truth is as long as I’ve been drawing, I’ve always struggled with drawing mechs and mechanical characters. It’s always just been hard getting poses and proportions when you gotta draw straight edges and details.

So I’ve been attempting to overcome this weakness by consistently drawing favorite mech characters like Grimlock and Shockwave from Transformers, now I’m finally trying me hand at an official drawing of Grimlock himself. I’m starting off with the more simple G1 design for right now, but I do want to do some drawing of my more preferred design from IDW.

Halloween Draw off: The Fog

Down now to our second to last illustration of this year’s Halloween draw off, it’s the Fog. The Fog has always been one of my favorite horror movies of all, it’s my favorite John Carpenter film and within my top ten of most rewatched movies. I’m actually very happy that in recent years it’s started to get more attention and grow in fandom.

That being said, I’ve wanted to draw the Fog and it’s “inhabitants” in the draw off for years. I’ve just held back because I haven’t really known how to make it visual interesting. THIS right here is my idea of the Fog, shadowed ghosts with virtually nothing but the glowing red eyes. The less detail you see on them the better, it just makes them scarier. So how do you make “shadowed” creatures visually interesting. Hopefully this will do the job.

Stay tuned, our draw off FINALE is coming right up.

Halloween Draw off: BlackOut

Next up on the draw off is Blackout, from Marvel’s Ghost Rider comics. This nasty murderer debuted in second issue of the Ghost Rider series from the 90’s and went on to become one of the series most recurring villains. Blackout was the one who murdered this sister of the Ghost Rider’s human host Daniel Ketch and even wound up killing Daniel himself, making him possibly the most personal villain for the rider to face. He’s sadly a very unknown character in the Marvel universe and I try my best to give him more exposure when the situation calls for it.

More Halloween art coming up.

Halloween Draw off: Puppetmaster

Puppetmaster returns to the Halloween draw off after a long absence. Blade was drawn alone in the first draw off way back in 2015, but this year he’s back with fellow puppets Torch, Pinhead and Six-Shooter. Essentially all my favorites from the bunch from the movies.

More Halloween art coming all month long.

Halloween Draw Off: Owl House/ HaUnted Mansion Crossover

This year’s Halloween draw off continues with a crossover between two of my Disney passions. The first piece featuring Madame Leota is the draw off piece for the month, the one below was drawn back in July when the most recent movie came out. Since it wasn’t uploaded to the site then, you’re getting two here for the price of one.

More Halloween art coming this month.
