YET EVEN MORE HALLOWEEN 2022

Round three of our all Halloween Draw off is up everyone. This round we are bringing you the delayed Xenomorph, aka Alien, Jason Voorhees, and to add a little lightness, Dipper and Mabel Pines from Gravity Falls. This is our final round for this year’s draw off and the last of fanart. Next week on Halloween Day we will be uploading our finale for this year, so stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, I hope everyone enjoyed all we had to give this year!

Kalwa KOHAKU

Everyone’s dressing up for Halloween, our very own Kalwa included. She dyed her hair so she could be ,my true love, Kohaku from Dr. Stone. Those who follow should know I love drawing Kohaku, and even once had both Kalwa and Kohaku meet once before. So this was such a thrill to draw, especially with the opportunity to draw Kalwa with blonde hair. I actually had just gotten the Banpresto season 2 Kohakur figure for my anime figure collection so I had a lot of reference to go off of.

HAlloween 2022

As we do every year, it’s the annual Halloween draw off. All month long I’ll be drawing monsters, dark things and just plain Halloween fun that involves both original and non-original characters. Here’s our first two drawings for the month, the Hatbox Ghost from Disney’s Haunted Mansion and Michael Keaton’s Batman from the 1989 classic. More awesome stuff on the way all month long!

Borg Drone

A very complicated drawing of a Borg Drone. I’m not really much of a Star Trek fan, I do like the Next Generation and I’m quite fond of the characters Seven of Nine and Captain Janeway from Voyager, but not really a huge fan. I have however always liked the Borg, they’re so creepy and cool looking they really make the show fun. So here’s a random drone which was supposed to be a simple sketch but wound up becoming a lot more complicated. This isn’t based on any particular Borg from the show, and since Borg don’t have a uniformed look, this was kind of a “design as you go” project, which of course left me exhausted at the end of the day.

Ariel

Finally I draw Ariel for Mer-May, probably the most famous Mermaid and I haven’t done her Mermay once! So here we are at last with Ariel herself, drawn in a more realistic style. I got real obsessive on this piece as the thumbnail I drew in my sketchbook had such a lovely face that I couldn’t replicate on the finished work, so wound up tracing the face onto the final piece.

Amber HEadshot

After a long absence, Amber has finally returned this time with her first head headshot which I should note I haven’t done before. Took me a little while to draw her as I’m a bit rusty, having not drawn her in a while.

Makoto Shishio

A new illustration of Makoto Shishio from Ruroni Kenshin, one of my favorite anime villains of all time. I did an image of this character last year, but I felt the shading came out a little too dark on that one and it washed out the fine inking details, so I wanted to make amends in this new illustration of the character. Hope everyone enjoys it.

Thomas Character Art

Artwork of Thomas who is a young detective from my comic Kalwa, he initially debuted in the Whitechappel arch as a detective hired by the police to catch the infamous Jack the Ripper. Throughout the story he and Kalwa both work on their own investigations of the Ripper, but they do meet up in the end.

More information on this character can be found over on our sister site, Kalwa Webcomic, starting in CHAPTER 16!

Cardcaptor Sakura

Just a fun little project to draw this cute little kid who I can’t help but smile and laugh at. Couldn’t really lock down a definitive look on her given hat she literally has a new outfit every episode, so I just went with the one that got an action figure.
