My two anime crushes together, would you take this chance?

As I promised on Facebook, the brand new comic The Raptor Queen has officially launched this month. As of now, all five pages of the prologue and three pages of the first chapter are live on the new website. This website is more of a lower budget one due to WordPress premium costs, but I’m still happy with how it looks. As I’ve mentioned this meant to be a real experiment in comic book making, with a heavy emphasis on visual storytelling rather than words. While this may not come off in the prologue (which is meant to establish character stories, it will be more prominent in the main chapters. Click the thumb below, to check out the new site.

New Owl House artwork featuring everyone’s favorite couple, Luz and Amity. Another little piece to get summer started with.

I’ve been working on a brand new comic for the past few months and it’s nearly ready to (start) going online. It’s called the Raptor Queen, and stand alone graphic novel with that will be a complete story. Most importantly this will be a silent comic, using only visuals and sound effects to tell it’s story. Exceptions are the five page prologue and epilogue.
This is a serious experiment to take the comic book medium to a whole a new level, also it will be in full color. As of now all inked pages, that being all five prologue pages and two first chapter pages, have been given their flats. Down below is a small sample of where we stand. I’m looking to possibly open up a new (low budget) website to host this comic sometime next month. Be on the lookout for more updates.

My contribution for Pride Month this year, another Owl House piece featuring Luz and Amity. This is kinda based off an old thought I’ve had, namely in the famous kiss scene from season 2 of the show, where Luz is kinda like the typical dashing hero commonly seen in Disney films, and Amity is her lady in waiting. The the twist is… they are both girls. So here we are with this scene kinda inspired by the movie Aladdin.

I sadly wasn’t that active this Mer-May, mostly due to work on Kalwa chapter 30 plus the new Raptor Queen comic I’m working on. But I did manage to get out three pieces, all fanwork. We got a brand new Ariel, Luz from the Owl House, and a new Kohaku POV that mermaid theme. I’ll see if I can do more next year.

Today is HUGE update day for Kalwa chapter 30 as we got a SIX Page featuring Kalwa’s intense battle with a Megalodon shark. So if you all like sharks, or daring adventures of the undersea variety, well this update is for you. First two pages are down below, click any one of them to go to our sister website to see the rest.
Quick little artwork of Rika from Digimon Tamers singing “Popular” from Wicked the Musical. For those who don’t get this reference, Melisa Fahn, Rika’s english voice actress, actually was an understudy for Glinda in the broadway show. In fact there’s even footage of her singing the song Popular (out of costume) on Youtube. And every time I watch it, I just imagine Rika singing the song.
Oh I would’ve loved to see Melisa doing a live show, thought she’s now retired from it. Melisa Fahn has THE most enchanting voice of any voice actress I’ve ever heard. I could listen to her all day, even if she was talking about air particles for twelve hours straight.

Sorry for my long absence, I really have been working on art, just kinda forgot to upload. Plus I was house sitting for my parents for a solid month and everything got kinda thrown off then. Anyway here’s my latest large project.
So this is reviving one of my oldest ideas ever. So those who know me should know I’m a huge Digimon fan, it’s kinda the big part of childhood I hold onto. So as a kid, I kinda created my own “partner Digimon” kinda used to draw him and me in coloring books and stuff. Well the original character was called Dinomon (a name that now belongs to another real life Digimon). He was originally kinda an ugly mix and match of dinosaur parts, probably not a very creative design as I was eight.
Now today I’m reviving the character, completely redesigned with a new name of Saurasomon. The term comes from the latin word “saur” which means lizard. Also it’s kinda where we get the word Dinosaur. And here we even have his full evolution line all the way from Rookie to Mega level. This was a real hard working project. Virtually every form wen through various concept drawings. While the Champion Level and Mega Level I kinda had a good idea from the beginning, the Ultimate Level took a quite a few tries before finally landing at the final design.
I also spent a lot of time researching Digimon evolution stages, and really strove to make every stage more advanced and better designed than the last. So nobody would say “that should be this stage.” Hope everyone enjoys it, cause it sure was a lot of work creating them all.
