It’s a double dose of Kohaku from Dr. Stone. We got the final original idea I had for the Kohaku POV series and another mermaid Kohaku. This Kohaku POV piece has been on my back burner for so long, but I finally decided to get it done with the final part of the Dr. Stone anime starting up.
Honestly, it’s now hitting me that we are on the final lap of Dr. Stone episodes and it’s making me really sad. Drawing Kohaku and other Dr. Stone characters has essentially been a labor of love on my end. Every time I walk around Fan Fusion here in AZ, I see thousands of drawings based off Dragon Ball, Attack on Titan, Dandadan is getting up there, but BARELY anything on Dr. Stone (in fact none at all). So Dr. Stone has always been my personal little quest while the rest of the world looks elsewhere. In fact while everyone was gushing over the final episodes of AOT, I was falling in love with Dr. Stone season 1.
That being said, I’ve noticed that Dr. Stone art has shot up in popularity when new episodes are on. Something that’s about to end. Most likely I’ll do more Dr. Stone art in the future, but I don’t know how many people will care then. It may just be me picking at rock because I want to. That’s kinda the struggle of being me as an artist. Other draw what the world wants, I draw what I want.

Hey man, I really enjoy your Dr. Stone fanart (and your other art as well). I agree, just draw what you want to draw. Keep drawing Dr. Stone fanart and Kohaku, even after this anime concludes 😊. I’m an artist as well and I used to draw “what the world wants”. Nowadays, I just draw what I want to draw, whether that be something from an obscure anime or original art (I have a comic that I work on and I draw my own characters from that).
